What is MFA?

MFA is a method of authentication where you will be asked to provide two independent credentials in order to verify your identity. MFA has two forms of authentication: something you know, and something you have with you. In this case, you will first authenticate using your password on the website (something you know), and then you will be required to verify yourself from your email (something you have).

Why is MFA important?

MFA is important because it adds an additional layer of security to protect your information and our systems. While usernames and secure passwords continue to be important, MFA helps prevent unauthorized access to user accounts and sensitive information to be accessed by unauthorized parties.

Who is impacted by MFA?

All users of EnactMI.com and Training.EnactMI.com are required to authenticate themselves using MFA when logging into their accounts.

What steps do I need to take to authenticate myself with MFA?

Multi-Factor Authentication Process

  1. Login Initiation: First, initiate the login process for EnactMI.com or Training.EnactMI.com by using your username and password.
  2. Verification Email: The system will then send a one-time verification link and code to the email address associated with your account.
  3. Select Verification: Either click the link or retrieve the verification code from the email received, return to the login screen, and enter the code.
  4. Access granted: If the link is selected or verification code is correct, the system recognizes that you have successfully completed the second factor of authentication and you will be given access to log in.
  5. Access denied: If the verification code is incorrect or expired, the system will deny you access, and you will need to try again or request a new code.
